| 1. Key Stage 3 |
'St John’s nurture curriculum in September of Year 7 provides a creative and dynamic learning experience for its students’ During Years 7, 8 and 9 students follow a broad and balanced curriculum. This enables them to learn and achieve in a variety of subject areas and skills. Student progress is measured, tracked and monitored at key times throughout the three years to ensure that ALL students maximise their academic potential |
| 2. Key Stage 4 |
‘St John’s Key Stage 4 curriculum enables all its students to gain the necessary qualifications so they can pursue the post 16 pathway of their choice’ During Year 10 and 11, students follow a well structured and personalised curriculum that enables them to follow courses that they are both interested in and have a natural aptitude for. St John’s also remains committed to ensuring that ALL students maximise their academic potential during this key stage. To ensure this is successfully achieved, students follow a thorough and guided programme of activities to support the overall process. This includes information evenings, parents’ evening, personal interviews and career guidance. |
