I am delighted to welcome you to our website. We take a great deal of pride in our school and our students, who live in Epping and its surrounding villages.

As an inclusive 11-16 school we are totally committed to serving the needs of all our children.

I am very proud that St. John's has again been judged as a 'Good' School by OFSTED in February 2012 for the third consecutive inspection.  We had previously achieved 'Good' in 2006 and 2009.  However, under the tougher new OFSTED regime, this is even more satisfying.  This reflects the significant improvements in GCSE exam results over recent years and continued improvements in teaching and behaviour.

Our school community is strong and our students feel happy and safe in a caring environment, which has been further enhanced with the introduction of mixed-age Vertical Tutoring, enabling every child to have dedicated, personalised support from staff and fellow students.

We are proud of our Christian foundation and promote Christian values to our students. As a Specialist Engineering College we provide our students with a wide range of opportunities to develop skills and aspirations which will be of great value to them in their adult lives.

I am delighted to report that the building of our brand new school on our current site is finally underway and should be completed by September 2013. It will provide an outstanding environment for St. Johns' students to enable them to be the best they can be and to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. There has never been a better time to join St. John's!
